1. About HobbyDetective and these Terms

HobbyDetective is operated by HD NEXT IKE, a private company registered in Greece, with registered address at Pindarou 4, Thessaloniki 54639, VAT number 802577241, General Commercial Registry (GEMI) number 178921006000 and contact email [email protected] (“HobbyDetective”, “we”, “us”).

These Terms govern access to and use of hobbydetective.gr, its customer and provider accounts, marketplace, booking, communication, subscription, artificial-intelligence (AI) and e-shop features (together, the “Platform”). Separate policies or commercial terms shown during a transaction form part of the agreement for that specific service.

2. Definitions and acceptance

A “Customer” is a person who searches, contacts a Provider, books an offering, joins a waitlist or purchases a product or package. A “Provider” is a business, professional, organisation, association or other person that publishes listings, supplies activities or sells products. “Content” includes listings, profiles, messages, reviews, images, videos and other material submitted to the Platform.

By creating an account, selecting an acceptance checkbox, publishing Content, booking, purchasing or otherwise using a feature governed by these Terms, you agree to the provisions that apply to you. If you act for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. If you do not agree, do not use the relevant feature.

3. The Platform’s marketplace role

HobbyDetective provides online intermediation, discovery, communication, booking and payment technology. Unless a checkout page expressly identifies HobbyDetective as the supplier, the contract for an activity, event, excursion, programme, volunteering opportunity, package or product is concluded directly between the Customer and the identified Provider or seller.

The Provider is responsible for performing the offering, product conformity and safety, professional licences, consumer information, invoices or receipts, taxes and compliance with applicable law. HobbyDetective remains responsible for its own Platform services and obligations. We may assist with communication or complaints, but we do not replace either party to the underlying contract.

4. Eligibility, accounts and security

You must provide accurate, current information and use the Platform only for lawful purposes. A person under 18 may use the Platform only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian. Providers must have legal capacity and all authorisations required to offer their services or products.

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure. Do not share an account except through authorised provider team features. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access. Customers may choose Google sign-in, in which case Google authenticates the account and we receive the account data described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Provider registration and verification

Providers must submit truthful business, identity, contact, tax and payment information. We may request supporting documents, verify information, reject an application, or require approval before enabling e-shop or online-payment features. Approval of an account or payments connection is not an endorsement, certification or guarantee of a Provider.

Providers must keep their public identity and contact details accurate. They are responsible for team members invited to their workspace and for removing access when it is no longer authorised.

Where several Providers operate from the same venue, the Platform may display them together on the venue’s page or, after a request, mutual acceptance and our approval, under a shared public brand and a shared public profile. Shared display or branding does not create a joint business or a joint account: each Provider remains independent, contracts alone for its own listings, bookings and sales, and gains no access to the others’ data. Either side may end the connection as described in the Platform.

6. Listings and Provider responsibilities

Providers may publish activities, events, excursions, programmes, volunteering opportunities and, after approval, products. Every listing must be accurate, complete, up to date and not misleading. The Provider must clearly disclose the supplier identity, essential characteristics, eligibility or age rules, schedule, location or online delivery, final price, capacity, safety requirements, cancellation terms and any material restriction.

Providers must have the rights and permissions needed for names, descriptions, images, videos and other uploaded material. Draft or inactive listings are not public. We may require completion of mandatory fields, correct obvious errors, request evidence, reject publication or remove a listing that breaches these Terms or the law.

7. Search, ranking, distribution and promotions

Search and discovery results may depend on the selected filters and sort order, listing type, publication status, category, location or distance, price, availability and creation date. The default “relevance” order ranks first on how well a listing matches the search terms — the title weighs most, then category and keywords, and the description least — and prefers newer listings to break ties, with listing type and identifier as the final tiebreakers. Customers may choose other available sorting, such as price, distance or newest.

Paid Featured Placement is not offered today: no payment influences the order of results. Promotional services, such as featured placement or advertising campaigns, require a separate request and agreement, and if they are introduced, any such placement will be clearly marked as promoted. We may distribute or promote Provider Content through HobbyDetective pages, social channels, search engines and advertising campaigns for operating or marketing the Platform. We do not currently operate an undisclosed affiliate distribution programme.

8. Booking modes, interest requests and chat

A listing may operate without an online booking system, with structured paid booking, or with an interest request, and the mode may differ per listing or section; chat communication is available regardless of the booking mode. A chat message or interest request is not a confirmed booking and does not reserve capacity. A booking exists only when the Platform or Provider confirms it through the applicable flow.

Providers must respond honestly and must not use contact details or messages for unrelated marketing without a lawful basis. Users must not send spam, abusive content, unlawful material or unsafe links through chat or inquiry features.

9. Bookings, availability and attendance

Displayed availability can change until a booking is confirmed. The Platform rechecks schedule, closures, capacity, eligibility, package status and price when a booking or reschedule request is submitted. A stale screen, waitlist position or unfinished checkout does not guarantee a place.

Customers must provide correct participant information, observe the Provider’s age, health, equipment, conduct and safety requirements, arrive on time, and inform the Provider of relevant needs where appropriate. Providers are responsible for delivering the confirmed service and maintaining accurate schedules, capacities, facilities and attendance records.

10. Prices, packages and discounts

Prices, included sessions or credits, validity, participant tiers and restrictions are shown before confirmation and are determined from current server records. Booking and package prices are shown as final amounts and include VAT where it is due. The only amounts that may be added at checkout, where they apply, are a registration fee the Provider sets for new students of an activity (once, or once per school year) and, on online card payments, the “Service fee” described in section 11; each is shown as a separate line before the booking or purchase is completed. Where group pricing applies, the selected number of participants determines the per-person price and total. Public “from” prices represent the lowest currently available qualifying price and do not guarantee that every date, group size or Customer qualifies.

Packages may be limited by listing, section, date, validity, credits or other disclosed rules. Discounts do not stack unless expressly stated; the Platform applies the eligible discount that its rules select. A package marked pending, expired, paused, refunded or revoked cannot be used contrary to its status.

Some packages are also offered as an auto-renewing subscription. The price, billing period and payment method are shown before purchase; once activated, the payment method is charged automatically at the start of each period through the payment provider. The Customer may stop auto-renewal at any time from their account; the stop takes effect at the end of the current paid period, which is not refunded unless the disclosed policy or mandatory law provides otherwise. If an automatic charge fails, it may be retried over the following days and access to the package may be suspended until it is settled.

11. Payments, fees and taxes

Online card payments are processed by Stripe. Providers that receive online booking or e-shop payments must maintain an approved Stripe Connect payments account. We do not store complete card details. Amounts, currency, applicable platform commission and payment status are calculated or verified by the Platform; Stripe processing fees are separate where stated. On every online card payment made through the Platform — bookings, package purchases (and every automatic package renewal) and e-shop orders — the Customer pays, on top of the price, a “Service fee” of 5% of the amount of the payment, capped at €2 per payment. On e-shop orders the service fee is calculated on the value of the goods, excluding delivery, and in an order with products from several Providers the fee and its cap are calculated separately for each. The service fee includes VAT, is collected by HobbyDetective for the use of the Platform, is not part of the Provider’s price and is always shown as a separate line before the payment is completed. Package subscriptions that started before 4 October 2026 continue with the service fee shown when they were bought. When part or all of a payment is refunded to the Customer, the same share of the service fee is refunded with it.

Current subscription prices and transaction fees are displayed before activation or payment and may depend on the Provider’s plan and transaction channel. Offline payments such as cash, bank transfer or IRIS are arranged directly with the Provider, are not processed by HobbyDetective and remain the parties’ responsibility. Providers are responsible for their taxes, invoicing and accounting obligations.

Where a booking, a package purchase or an e-shop order is to be settled by IRIS or bank transfer — offered only by Providers on a plan that includes it and only where they have enabled it — the Platform shows the Customer who has already completed it the Provider’s account details and allows that Customer to report that they have sent the amount. That report is a statement by the Customer and is not proof or confirmation of payment: HobbyDetective does not collect, hold or verify the money, and the booking or order remains unpaid until the Provider confirms receipt themselves. The Provider sets a deadline for sending; if it passes with no report from the Customer, the place or the reserved stock may be released automatically and the booking or order cancelled. Refunds of money paid outside the Platform are governed by the Provider’s cancellation policy and are made by the Provider; HobbyDetective cannot refund amounts it never received. The service fee applies only to payments processed through the Platform and is not charged on payments made outside it.

Provider platform fees. The platform commission on bookings is not deducted from the Customer’s payment. For every booking, deposit balance, package sale and package renewal that is paid — whether through the Platform or by an offline method that the Provider records as received — HobbyDetective issues the Provider a separate platform fee at the booking commission rate of the Provider’s plan at the time of payment, calculated on the amount the Customer paid for the booking or package, excluding the Customer’s service fee and any registration fee, which carries no commission. Sessions paid with package credits are not charged again. The Provider is notified of each fee and pays it to HobbyDetective within the period shown, from the “Platform fees” page of the Provider panel, by card, IRIS or bank transfer; a payment by IRIS or bank transfer counts as made once HobbyDetective confirms receipt. If the Customer is refunded, an unpaid fee is reduced accordingly and a fee already paid becomes a credit against later fees. Unpaid fees remain owed to HobbyDetective. Commission on e-shop orders paid online by card continues to be withheld from the payment and is calculated on the value of the goods, excluding delivery; e-shop orders settled by IRIS or bank transfer carry neither commission nor the service fee.

12. Cancellations, refunds, credits and waitlists

The cancellation and no-show policy shown for the relevant offering applies together with mandatory law. It may set a deadline and provide for a refund, partial refund, credit, rescheduling or forfeiture. Provider cancellation may trigger a refund, credit or alternative date as disclosed. Package-credit restoration is not the same as a monetary refund.

For online payments, a refund is complete only when the payment status confirms successful processing. Banking and card-network times may delay receipt. If an automated refund fails or requires reconciliation, the booking may be cancelled while the refund remains pending; support and the Provider must cooperate to resolve it. Revocation of package access removes remaining credits and may cancel future bookings but does not itself prove that money was refunded.

Joining a waitlist does not guarantee promotion. Promotion depends on capacity and current eligibility and may be offered to the next qualifying Customer under the Platform’s active rules.

13. E-shop orders, delivery and returns

The identified Provider is the seller of products offered through the e-shop. The seller is responsible for product legality, conformity, safety, description, stock, price, tax documents, packaging, delivery, customer service, cancellation, returns and statutory remedies. Delivery methods, costs, estimated times and seller policies are shown during the purchase flow.

Customers must provide a deliverable address and inspect order details before payment. Order and return statuses are operational records; a “refunded” status should be used only after the corresponding financial action has been completed or reliably recorded.

14. Consumer withdrawal and mandatory rights

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived. Where a Customer buys goods online from a professional seller, the statutory withdrawal period is generally 14 days from delivery, subject to legal exceptions and the information provided by the seller. Statutory conformity and guarantee rights continue to apply independently of any voluntary return policy.

The statutory withdrawal right may not apply to services related to leisure activities where the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance, or in other cases excluded by law. The cancellation policy displayed before booking then applies, without affecting any mandatory right. Each Provider must give Customers the legally required pre-contract information and handle withdrawal or remedy requests for the contract it supplies.

15. Free, Premium and Premium Plus subscriptions

Provider plans may include Free, Premium and Premium Plus tiers. Features, limits, prices, billing periods, commissions and promotional access are those displayed at the time of subscription or transaction. Unlike booking and package prices, Provider subscription prices are shown excluding VAT, which is added when the subscription is charged. Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the selected monthly or annual billing cycle unless cancellation is scheduled before renewal.

Cancellation stops future renewal; access normally continues until the end of the paid period. When a paid or promotional entitlement ends, plan-only features may become unavailable or hidden, while data may be retained as described in the Platform and Privacy Policy. A material plan change will be notified as required by law and these Terms.

16. Artificial-intelligence (AI) features

The Platform offers optional artificial-intelligence features, such as help drafting and translating listing and product content, category and attribute suggestions, a listing fill-in assistant, a support chat assistant for Providers and inquiry-analysis tools. These features suggest; they do not act on their own. The fill-in assistant first shows what it would fill in — including any prices it would create in your catalogue — and proceeds only once the Provider confirms; no AI feature publishes a listing or sends a message to a Customer. We use third-party AI providers to deliver them; the related data processing is described in our Privacy Policy.

AI-generated content is produced automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for a specific case. Whoever uses it must review it before publishing or relying on it; the Provider remains fully responsible for the Content it publishes, even where it was created with AI assistance. Replies from AI assistants are informational, do not constitute legal, tax or other professional advice, and do not amend these Terms or the prices and fees shown on the relevant pages and flows, which prevail.

Do not submit sensitive personal data, or third-party data that is not necessary, through AI features. Use is subject to reasonable limits, such as a daily allowance per account; some features are available only on specific plans; and AI features may be modified, suspended or discontinued.

17. User Content, reviews and licence

You retain ownership of Content you submit. You grant HobbyDetective a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence, for as long as needed to provide and promote the Platform, to host, store, reproduce, format, translate, display, communicate and distribute that Content through the Platform and the promotional channels described above. This licence does not transfer ownership and ends when the Content is deleted, except for backups, legal retention, completed transactions and material already lawfully shared.

Reviews and replies must reflect genuine experiences, be relevant and avoid personal data, threats, defamation, manipulation or incentives that distort authenticity. We may connect reviews to verified bookings or purchases and may remove or restrict reviews that breach these rules.

18. Prohibited use, content moderation and complaints

You must not use the Platform to break the law; infringe intellectual property, privacy or other rights; publish false, unsafe, discriminatory, hateful, sexually exploitative, defamatory or fraudulent material; sell prohibited or recalled products; manipulate reviews, ranking, prices or availability; scrape or copy the Platform without permission; bypass security; spread malware or spam; impersonate another person; or misuse payment, refund, messaging or reporting systems.

We may use technical filters and human review to detect fraud, security threats, illegal Content and violations. Depending on severity, we may reject, reduce visibility, remove Content, disable a feature, withhold publication, suspend an account or preserve evidence. We apply measures proportionately and provide reasons and available review options where required by law. Reports and complaints may be sent to [email protected] with the relevant URL, facts and supporting information.

19. HobbyDetective intellectual property

The Platform software, design, databases, brand, logos and original material supplied by HobbyDetective are protected by intellectual-property and related laws. Except where law permits otherwise, you may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, sell, license, frame or commercially exploit them without prior written permission. Rights in Provider and Customer Content remain with their respective owners, subject to the licence in section 17.

20. Third-party services and links

The Platform integrates or links to services operated by third parties, including Stripe for payments, Google for sign-in, maps and media, video hosts, email delivery and infrastructure providers. Their own terms and privacy practices may apply. We are not responsible for an external website’s independent content or service, but we remain responsible for selecting and using processors where the law makes us responsible.

21. Privacy and cookies

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we process it, who receives it, retention, international transfers and your rights. Our Cookie Policy explains cookies and similar technologies. Where a Provider receives Customer data for a booking, order or inquiry, that Provider acts under its own legal responsibilities and must use the data only for legitimate, disclosed purposes. The same applies where the Provider itself enters into the Platform details of people who have no account — internal students or minors, for example: the Provider is responsible for having a lawful basis and, where required, the consent of the person or of the holder of parental responsibility, for informing those people, and for entering only the data it genuinely needs.

22. Restriction, suspension, termination and account closure

You may stop using the Platform and request account closure, subject to pending bookings, orders, payments, disputes and records that must be retained by law. We may restrict Content or suspend or terminate access for illegality, fraud, security risk, non-payment, inaccurate identity, unsafe conduct, repeated complaints, infringement of rights, misuse of the Platform or material/repeated breach of these Terms.

For Providers, we will give a statement of reasons and an opportunity to clarify the facts where required by law. Where Regulation (EU) 2019/1150 applies, termination of the whole intermediation service will normally be notified at least 30 days in advance, except where law, an imperative reason or repeated infringement permits immediate action. After closure, public Content may be removed, while transaction, financial, security and legal records may be retained for the periods described in the Privacy Policy.

23. Platform changes and availability

We may maintain, update, secure, replace or discontinue features. We aim to keep the Platform available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, provider systems, internet conditions, force majeure, payment networks and third-party services may cause delays or outages.

We will take reasonable steps to protect active transactions and give appropriate notice of material changes. Nothing in this section allows us to avoid an obligation that mandatory law places on us.

24. Responsibility and limitation of liability

Each party is responsible for loss it causes through breach of contract, negligence, fraud or unlawful conduct. Providers are responsible for their listings, services, products, personnel, venues, safety, delivery and compliance. Customers are responsible for accurate information, lawful use, payment obligations and compliance with disclosed participation rules.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HobbyDetective is not liable for a Provider’s independent acts or omissions, indirect or unforeseeable loss, loss caused by incorrect user information, or events outside our reasonable control. We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so is prohibited, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights.

25. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for legal, security, technical or business reasons. We will publish the current version with its updated date and notify users of significant changes through the Platform, email or another durable medium where required.

For Providers covered by Regulation (EU) 2019/1150, proposed changes will normally be notified on a durable medium at least 15 days before they take effect, with a longer period where reasonable technical or commercial adaptation is needed. The notice period may not apply where law requires an earlier change or an unforeseen and imminent fraud, malware, spam, data-breach or cybersecurity risk must be addressed. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where the law permits.

26. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Greek law, without depriving a consumer of mandatory protections available under the law of their habitual residence. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the matter. A complaint about an underlying service or product should also be addressed to the responsible Provider or seller.

Nothing in these Terms restricts access to a competent consumer-protection authority, alternative dispute-resolution body or court. Jurisdiction is determined by applicable Greek and EU law; no clause in these Terms forces a consumer to give up a mandatory forum.

27. General provisions and contact

If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or contractual rights without our consent, except where mandatory law permits it. Headings are for convenience and do not change meaning.
